Emily Bett Rickards' run as tech-genius Felicity Smoak came to an end in Monday'due south flavor seven finale, as the actress is leaving the show ahead of its eighth and terminal season. Not just did the finale requite Felicity an emotional transport-off, though, information technology likewise planted some major seeds for the Arrowverse'southward next crossover, "Crisis on Space Earths." Wink-forward to 2040: Time to come Team Arrow manages to take down the ARCHER programme and the Zetas past destroying the wall that separated the Glades from the remainder of Star City. This is technically an actor of terror, and someone needs to accept the fall. Then, Dinah, Roy, and Felicity decide do that and continue the run for the residue of their lives because they know Mia (Katherine McNamara), William (Ben Lewis), Zoe (Andrea Sixtos), and Connor (Joseph David Jones) can keep the city rubber.
Before striking the road, though, Felicity visits Oliver's grave — which confirms he dies in 2019 — with Mia and William because she wants to say goodbye to them ane last time. Her two children don't empathise why they can't stay in contact while she's on the run, just Felicity simply says it's time for her to go along her own journey…that leads her right to the Monitor.
When she meets up with the Monitor, she tells him she'due south ready. "Where I'k taking you lot, in that location'south no render," he says. Simply Felicity doesn't care because she'southward waited a long time to see Oliver. From in that location, they breach away to only God knows where to be with the fallen Green Arrow. And thus, Rickards' time on the show came to an stop.
